Angeles Forest Crest

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Photographic proof of our adventures @ Angeles Forest Crest trying to make it to Mountain Watermen. The troopers let us up to the closed off icy snow area because they thought we were Cal Poly Pomona volunteers going to help @ Crystal Lake. Haha. I think it’s because Chris has a Cal Poly license plate & Albert had a Cal poly shirt on. Long story short we had to wait until troopers open the gate to let us go back down to Angeles Forest Crest & towards Azusa avenue. During our time waiting we took random pictures.

See the first picture, Ray was trying to be cute & show me snow for my first time ever. He fell running to the snow & scraped his left cheek a little bit. LOL poor silly guy! The pictures of the guys are them mocking music album covers. The bottom picture of me & Ray are different style pictures I can use for our scrapbook.

Mountain High Snowboarding

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Today I went to Mountain High to go snowboarding. I’ve NEVER gone snowboarding before & have never seen snow so this was an interesting experience. Originally we were suppose to go to Mountain Watermen but we took Angeles Crest for an hour & icy snow block off the road to get there. We wanted to try out a new place that Chris’s co-worker recommended that was not packed & different. Now, I understand why no one went there because most of the routes to get there were IMPOSSIBLE. The 2 was closed, the Angeles forest crest was blocked off due to icy snow & who knows what else. So, we decided to go back & just go to Mountain High.

I like Mountain High except for the fact that I can’t snowboard & I got really scared. I need to learn how to stop the snowboard. I fell probably 50 times trying to stop or because I felt I was going so fast. I did learn a little bit but I need to get my own snowboard not use Ruben’s. Ruben’s board was not set up for my normal feet. Maybe, next winter season when I get more comfortable I will want to go snowboarding.
